OUR FACILITIES

We are located in an excellent neighborhood and each one is situated in a private and secure environment where our residents can go outside and still feel secure. We have a spacious backyard where trees, shurberries and flowers have been planted and concrete walkways and ramps built to create an athmosphere of peace, solitude and tranquility for our residents.

Our Activities

Activities are important to the psychosocial development of our residents. In consequence, we create varied activities everyday. We ensure our residents of time for fun and relaxation. Life is always interesting with us at Belrose Care Homes.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES

  • Craft/needlework geared to hand coordination needs
  • Easy Walks
  • Exercises done before getting out of bed in morning

SOCIAL/EDUCATIONAL AND RECREATIONAL/LEISURE ACTIVITIES:

  • Music - anytime! Tapes, radio, records
  • Art and craft activities, needlework and creative or personal history writing
  • Barbecue
  • Board games - Checkers, monopoly, scrabble, dominoes, puzzle and game/card table
  • Celebration of special events i.e. Mother's Day, Christmas, New Years, Valentines Day, Father's Day, Ice Cream Social, etc.
  • Involvement with others (staff and/or residents) in planning special parties or occasions. Monthly birthday parties to honor residents and other important holidays
  • Opportunity to participate in groups outside the home; i.e., local Senior Center activities, Church activities

  • Group discussion, participation and involvement in arts and cultural enrichment
  • Daily living skills/activities which foster and maintain independent function such as fixing own hair and make-up, dressing up
